Delicious B&B Breakfast
As you would expect from an award-winning guest house, our delicious B&B breakfast showcases the best of Scottish produce. Our menu combines tried and trusted B&B favourites with an opportunity to try something different. Our commitment to the best quality breakfasts was recognised when Inverglen Guest House was awarded Quality Assured Status under the “Taste our Best” scheme run by Visit Scotland.
Our regular menu (see below) caters to a wide variety of tastes and dietary requirements. We have many vegetarian options and regularly adapt our menu to cater to food allergies or intolerances such as gluten-free and dairy-free diets. Just let us know in advance if you have any particular requirements and we will ensure we have tasty options to keep you satisfied.
Fruits, Cereals, Yogurts, Juices & Homemade Bread
Before enjoying your cooked breakfast, why not browse our delicious breakfast buffet with a tasty range of treats to get you started. In addition to freshly prepared fruit salads, we have a selection of natural and fruit yoghurts as well as all the usual breakfast cereals (including gluten-free options). To complement this we also have a selection of dried fruits and nuts.
To top off the buffet selection, Susan also regularly bakes a homemade loaf which could be anything from the ever-popular multi-seed loaf to more ambitious creations such as maple and pecan loaf, spiced fruit loaf or even apricot and ginger loaf. Susan gives all the credit to the breadmaking machine, but the flavour combinations are the real star of the show.

Local & Seasonal Produce
We use local food products wherever possible, and try to include seasonal produce in our menu choices to enable you to enjoy the best Scottish ingredients during your stay.
Our eggs are all free-range and are mostly from a farm overlooking the Moray coast. Bacon, sausages, and black pudding are sourced from Scottish butchers or food producers wherever possible, and we serve Scottish Smoked Salmon.
Most cakes, sweet breakfast loaves and muffins are baked by Susan at home, and the biscuits provided in your room are Scottish-baked. Please ask if you would like a recipe to take home, or you can “like” our Facebook page, where new recipes are posted from time to time! You will also find more recipes in Susan’s Recipes.
If you would like to try some traditional Scottish dishes during your stay in the Highlands please ask, and we will let you know what to look out for on the menus. There is a folder with sample menus from local restaurants in the hallway, and some information about local food specialties.
