Inverness has something for everyone, whatever your interests. It is a convenient base for exploring a wide area without having to keep packing bags and moving on. You can easily visit the West Coast (including the Isle of Skye) in a day trip from Inverness. Many people even take a day trip to Orkney. Closer to Inverness there is an abundance of things to do including, of course, searching for the fabled Loch Ness Monster. There is no shortage of things to do around Inverness and Loch Ness.
