Mountain biking is a popular sporting activity across the Highlands of Scotland, with numerous forest trails and bike routes available for all to enjoy. At this time of year, the whole of the Nevis Ski Range near Fort William is taken over by the world cup village for the Mountain Bike World Cup. On the Saturday and Sunday, there will be 48 hours of elite mountain biking competition for the World Cup, and many other activities for all the family. Fort William is just over an hours drive from Inverness and the route will take you along the beautiful Loch Ness for part of the way, so this is an easy and scenic day trip from Inverglen Guest House.

Now in its 7th year, this is a popular festival for those who like to get out and about.
