Photography Experience Days and Tuition Workshops

Landscape Photography Experience Days and Tuition in the Scottish Highlands

Our Photography Experience Days and Tuition workshops in the magnificent Scottish Highlands are a great way to improve your skills and capture some fantastic images. Our tours and workshops are suitable for photographers of all abilities and especially those wishing to learn new skills and get the best from their digital cameras.

Whilst digital cameras can produce extremely high-quality images, it still takes the creativity and knowledge of the photographer to get the most from their equipment. On our experience days and tuition workshops are dedicated to helping you get fantastic images by taking you to great locations at the right time, and where needed, helping you explore your creativity and build a deeper knowledge of how to craft an image.

With us you will visit some of the Scottish Highland’s most spectacular locations, from rugged mountains to breathtaking lochs and glens, not to mention some of the most idyllic coastlines in the United Kingdom. We aim to be at each location at a time to take advantage of the best light.

Half day, Single day or multi-day experiences and tuition workshops run throughout the year. Full day experiences run from 10 am to 6 pm (approximately), and half day experiences can start at any time after 10 am and run for 4 hours.

All days commence either at Inverglen Guest House, or we can pick you up from any location within approximately 20 miles of Inverness.

Locations Visited

From our base in Inverness, we are ideally located to make it possible to visit a wide range of locations. The decision on where to go will often be based on getting the right balance between time in the car and time taking images. On our half day experience, we tend to minimise distances travelled so that we can maximise the amount of time taking images, whilst on our full day experiences we have the option of going further afield.

Our most popular locations for half day experiences include:

Trees in autumnal colours beside the river Ness
River Ness In Autumn Colours
The sun is setting over Loch Ness
Sunset at Loch Ness
A boathouse is reflected in Loch Farr
The Boathouse on Loch Farr

On our full day experience, we can include a wider variety of locations including:

A small river running through the snow covered valley
The Lecht with Autumn Snow
Sea stack known as Bow Fiddle Rock
Bow Fiddle Rock
Loch Affric in early autumn colours
Loch Affric

On a full day, we can cover territory within a radius of about 60 miles from Inverness which gives us lots of options from coast to mountain and includes The Cairngorm National Park, Loch Ness, Glen Affric, The Moray Coast and The Black Isle.  It is possible to visit locations further afield such as Ben Nevis, Glencoe, Rannoch Moor, Isle of Skye, The Applecross Peninsula, and Inverpolly, but these require more time due to the extra mileage and slower road conditions. If you are interested in these locations we will gladly design a day to meet your needs and provide a quote for your consideration.
